Super quick, food's tasty, they're always nice and they have espresso. Try the chipotle chicken sandwich. The sauce is awesome.

It has potential with a very laid back cool vibe, but right now the food is just ok. A friend and I stopped by for brunch on Sunday based on the looks of the place alone. It is very Floridian with bright, yet fading colors, and a covered outside patio. The music selection seemed to favor Bob Marley, so that should explain the vibe right away. There were a couple of tables filled inside and a couple outside at 11:45 a.m. It got more filled by 1 p.m. when we left. This is the type of place where you can hang out for hours and never feel rushed. Our server even told us he was there all day if we wanted to wait longer to pay our bill. They even have a table filled with board games by the restrooms. They really mean it when they say feel free to hang around. (Also Acoustic Karaoke on Wednesdays after 7:30 p.m. Isn't that basically a guitar open mic?). So all that is good, what was mediocre was the food. Our waiter told us that there is a new award winning chef in the back and she just revamped the brunch menu. Maybe that put my expectations higher than it would normally have been at. I got the Eggs Benedict (very standard) and my friend got the Spinach Omelet. I had a choice of whether to go with bacon or portobello mushroom. Maybe that was my second mistake. I went with the mushroom. When it came out, it looked delicious, but it tasted a little off. It had a sour tinge to it. Maybe it was the mushrooms (which is what I suspect), but it made the dish a lot less enjoyable. I also tried my friend's Spinach Omelet and it also had a sour tinge to it (I think it was the spinach). However, she didn't mention it at all and enjoyed it. Overall the food wasn't bad, but it is not something I would eat again. There is enough on the menu that I want to try that would bring me back, but I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone for the food alone. They also have bottomless mimosas. Just putting that out there.

LIKE GRAND CENTRAL? There is a cute new little restaurant that has opened called The Parrot Cafe... We have been there twice for breakfast and both times the food was outstanding. I really enjoy small restaurants that offer good food, great prices and a staff to match. This place offers all of this. Their menu is one that anyone can find something they like and still be able to afford to eat it.. I really think you should stop in and check the place out. I am looking forward to tasting their lunch and dinner offerings..

Maybe breakfast is their thing? But lunch, my wrap, really wasn't impressed. I hate to bad mouth an up start business, but i paid 7 something for a wrap i literally inhaled in 2 minutes. The Wrap itself was decent, but not incredible and the fact that I paid that much for such a small amount of food just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe ill give them a try for breakfast, but with kissin cuzzins a mile away.... eh maybe not lol

Stopped in for breakfast yesterday based on a positive but seemingly wary review in the city paper, and I think 'meh' is about all I can say. This place is way too new to have dirty silverware sitting on sticky tables; there's no excuse for that, diner or not. The ambiance is almost purposefully 'blah'. As lone customers, and with a total lack of music or any other background noise, we got to hear the small talk in the back among the staff while we waited a really long time for a couple of simple breakfasts. The staff is friendly (almost in an obligatory sense), and our coffees were kept full. The menu is small and unremarkable, the food is standard. My over easy eggs were good, my husband's french toast was a little bit soggy, the hash browns were just that - nothing to write home about, though not necessarily bad. Cheap but edible breakfasts are easy to find. This place needs to come up with some way to distinguish itself in such a vital neighborhood. Kitschy decor has been done, and total silence in the dining room is probably not it either.
